Presentation title: Impact of diverse Direct Strip Processing Mill Layouts on the Hot Rolling Metallurgy of Nb Microalloyed Steels
Pello Uranga is the Associate Director of the Materials and Manufacturing Division at CEIT Research Institute and associate professor at the school of Engineering in Tecnun-Univ. of Navarra (San Sebastian, Spain). His research activity is mainly focused on the thermomechanical processing and the microstructural evolution modeling of steels. He has published over 200 technical papers in international journals and conferences, receiving six international awards. He has participated in more than 60 research projects, most of them industrial projects. He is an active member of the AIST (Association of Iron and Steel Technology) and TMS (The Mineral, Metals and Materials Society) professional associations, being the current Steels Committee Chair for TMS. He is university program evaluator for ANECA (Spain) and ABET Commissioner (USA).
